This role is essential to maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting clinical excellence, and ensuring interdisciplinary documentation consistently meets Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and payment eligibility requirements. To strengthen audit credibility and ensure quality review remains grounded in real-time clinical practice, this position will also provide occasional clinical field support to RN Case Managers during periods of lower audit volume. Maintaining active patient care involvement allows the QAPI Nurse to align documentation standards with current bedside practice and reinforces clinically informed compliance oversight. The ideal candidate combines strong hospice clinical knowledge with exceptional documentation review skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality improvement.
