Part-Time Floater Teacher - Daycare & Preschool
Location: The Learning Experience - Ledgewood, NJ
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM (15 hours per week)

About the Opportunity

Looking for a part-time childcare position with consistent afternoon hours?

The Learning Experience - Ledgewood is hiring a Part-Time Assistant Teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon!

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, helping teachers, and creating a positive environment during the busiest part of the school day.

As a Floater Teacher, you'll work with different age groups and provide support wherever it's needed.

What You'll Do

• Assist teachers across classrooms during afternoon hours

• Supervise children and maintain a safe, nurturing environment

• Support afternoon activities, playtime, snacks, and classroom routines

• Help children with transitions and prepare for dismissal

• Engage children through stories, games, music, and hands-on activities

• Assist with diapering, toilet training, and other age-appropriate care routines

• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers

• Help maintain classroom cleanliness and organization

• Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• Previous childcare, daycare, babysitting, or preschool experience preferred

• Comfortable working with different age groups

• Patient, dependable, energetic, and comfortable working as part of a team

• Must be available Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM

• Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
